Matthew proposed to craft a world so intriguing and unique, yet so personal that you can only find it here from him. He attempted to investigates the uncanniness between the reality that we experience on a day-to-day basis, and the unreal encounters within the world of videogames and virtual realities. The resultant architecture is a massive arcade, ‘alive’ with character, behaviour and reaction.
Matthew’s experiments questioned how architecture can respond and accommodate us like the worlds in video games and their characters. He finds the notion of discovering something new in familiar places the most compelling.
