ADAPTIVE IMAGINATIONS
Y5
The project explores the temporal states of our imaginations prompted through spatial experiences. It investigates this through developing a house for a geo-botanist along with public gardens as fields of exploration. Ideas and narratives can be played out over multiple time scales, investigating spatial constructions and their relationships which isolate us in a narrow frame of time; an experience that escapes from the ordinary and provokes a journey into the depths of imagination. This aims to establish a dialogue between the imaginary and reality. The process uses physical models that set up scenarios to be captured simultaneously using pinhole photography as the medium to capture temporal narratives that induces the imagination and the drawing process.
